BWP Presents Flashpoint

Yet another amazing Event. They just get better and better. Shame it was a smaller than usual audience but it didn't spoil the atmosphere. Looking forward to Denbigh now

We really enjoyed this event. The venue was easy to get to and the sports hall was spacious. It was quite bright though and it would have been better if the lighting could have been a bit subdued but what can you do in a sports hall? We have attended similar events before at Theatr Clwyd and The Stiwt in Rhos and the lighting was better there. But it wasn't enough to spoil the evening at all. I can't fault the wrestlers or any of the staff. Despite a relatively small crowd they all performed as if there were hundreds there. The baddies were deliciously bad and heckling and name-calling was encouraged. They all did all they could to ensure a good show and they didn't fail, it was really good fun. A nice touch was the opportunity for photos in the ring at the break and that some wrestlers stayed for photos at the end.rnrnMerchandise was good and I hope that raffle raised some funds. At Welsh Wrestling events they sell an A4 poster in the break and then all the wrestlers sit in a line up and sign them for the visitors and allow some photos. Perhaps that might raise more? All in all it a good evening we all enjoyed. Keep it up!

The venue was spacious enough to allow audience seating all round which is always a bonus at these events. Despite last minute changes in certain wrestlers they coped well with these replacements. I liked the fact they had a table and chairs match as not many alliances do that and even though they went out of their way to use several weapons they didn't go to the extremes of any blood as I think that's important when you have a family audience. Finally they also had an Intergender bout which was not only good to watch but should happen more often these days as equality in sport is something we should all support.
